MEMBER WATCH Michele Fletcher: Will have two photographs, “Friends,” and “Woodland Bou-quet,” on display at the North Side Library in Charlottesville off Rio Road during the month of March. One of Michele‟s photographs is on the cover of this year‟s Lexington News Gazette travel supplement, “Visiting Lexington.” It is available in venues in and around Lexington. She also had several of her photographs pub-lished in the Catholic Virginian newspaper, and another in the News Gazette daily edition.

Laure Stevens-Lubin: Laure is participating in a Lexington fundraiser for CASA that was featured on channel 10 news. Over a dozen artists are painting horse statues to be placed around town and be auctioned to support advocates for children.

Nancy Spahr: Nancy‟s paintings are a part of “Art in the 21st Century,” an invi-tational exhibition at the Wayne Theatre, 521 West Main Street, Waynesboro (2nd floor). The exhibit will hang from March 1-May 27, 2018. Opening Re-ception is March 8th , 5-7pm. Nancy will be the Featured Artist at Art on the Trax in Crozet, showing new works. The theme is „Nesting In.” Her work will also be featured at The Art Box gallery, 5784 Three Notch‟d Road, also in Crozet, from May1st-31st. Opening Reception is Saturday, May 12th, 4-6 pm. Hours: M-F 11am - 6 p.m. Sat 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Julie Farrell and Sue Rosen: will be exhibiting their work at the Blackburn Ho-tel in Staunton During April, May, and June.

Julia Lesnichy and Peg Sheridan: will be featured in a two person show at the Louisa Art Center. The show opens on Friday, March 23, with a reception from 6 to 8 pm.

Karen Rosasco: was accepted in this year's American Watercolor Society An-nual Exhibition to be held at the Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Avenue, New York City from April 9 - 28. She has also been chosen to exhibit 34 paintings in a two-person exhibit at the Connaught Gallery, Mcintire School of Commerce, 125 Ruppel Drive, on the UVa Campus. The show will run from mid March through mid June, with an opening reception on Thursday, April 12 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. In addition, Karen will also have a display of over 20 paintings at the gallery of Kline May Realty, 83 South Main Street, Harrisonburg with First Friday re-ceptions on April 6 and May 4 from 5-8 pm.

Sue Rosen’s painting,” On the Dock,” was accepted by the 2018 Artemis Jour-nal of Art and Writing that will launch on May 4th at the Taubman Museum in Roanoke. The Journal is published each year and features a prominent author or poet who will be speaking on that day. This year it is Sharyn McCrumb, New York Times bestselling author of The Unquiet Grave.

Astrid Tuttle: will be exhibiting her artwork at Art at the Mill Gallery in Berryville Va, April 28 thru May 19. Her work will also be exhibited in the BSSS Gallery group show, 25 Years of Travel Study. Astrid will exhibit April 28 in the "Art on the Green" Art show in Lexington, Va.

Christine Rooney: Had an encaustic painting juried into the Academy of Fine Arts National Juried Exposition in Lynchburg VA. The show begins April 6. She will also have a show at the John Stewart Walker gallery in May.

Peg Sheridan: Will be teaching several watercolor classes and workshops start-ing in early March. You can find more information on her website, www.pegsheridan.com. Peg will be one of 28 featured artists at the Queen City Plein Air Festival, April 17-22, 2018.
