Christine Watts won second place at the SVAC member's show.  Astrid Tuttle won 3rd place, Paula Hurley won the Penny Cabell award and Gail Haile won an honorable mention.

Karen Rosasco's painting of Ella Fitzgerald was purchased by UVA and will hang permantly in McIntire Hall.

Nancy Spahr: will be exhibiting her paintings at the invitational exhibit "In Flight" at the Nelson Gallery located at 27 W. Washington Street, Lexington, VA. The opening reception will be held Friday Sept 7th from 5 to 7 pm.  

The exhibition celebrates the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act by declarating 2018 the Year of the BIrd.  More that 100 organizations are joining forces to examine how our changing environmentis impacting birds around the globe.

Juliette Swensen: will be showing 15 of her paintings of flowers, animals and birds, from May 15 to August 9th, at the Runion Bakery, 26 S. New Street in Staunton.
