Nancy Spahr: will be exhibiting her paintings at the invitational exhibit "In Flight" at the Nelson Gallery located at 27 W. Washington Street, Lexington, VA. The opening reception will be held Friday Sept 7th from 5 to 7 pm.  

The exhibition celebrates the centennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act by declarating 2018 the Year of the BIrd.  More that 100 organizations are joining forces to examine how our changing environmentis impacting birds around the globe.

Steve Kasdan and Deborah Baird: are showing their work at the Noon Whistle Pottery in Stanardsville. The theme of the show is "Both Sides of the Pond, which includes images from Ireland and Virginia. The show will hang through November.

Sue Rosen: is having a solo show in Harrisonburg at the Wilson Downtown Gallery (83 Main St) for the months of October and November. There will be artist receptions on Oct. 5 and Nov. 2 from 5 to 8pm. The show will consist of four new series - Etudes, Echoes, Patterns and Divides.

She also will be presenting a program, Creating Collage Papers,‖ at the Fluvanna Art Association from 9:30am to 12pm on October 19th at the Fluvanna County Library, 214 Commons Blvd., Palmyra.

Nick Martori: will be auctioning off his paintings and other collectables to benefit the Daily Living Center, an Adult Day Health Care Center, located at 990E Hopeman Parkway, Waynesboro, VA. The auction will take place at Nick’s studio 1301 Kiesling Avenue in Waynesboro, on Saturday, December, 1st, 2-4 pm. 50% of the proceeds will go to the Daily Living Center. Peg Sheridan: has four paintings in the Shenandoah Watercolor Society’s juried show at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community.  The painting entitled ―Urban Glow won third place. Her painting, ―Village Charm, was juried into the Virginia Watercolor Society annual show in the Olin Hall galleries at Roanoke College in Salem. That show will run thru Oct 7th.   She has three paintings in the bird themed show,  In Flight, at the Nelson Gallery in Lexington.. She has five paintings and several hand painted silk scarves in the fundraising exhibit,

Upcoming shows include: Paint Lexington, an annual plein air ―Paint-out event. The exhibit will be at the Nelson Gallery, opening September 28th. Lynchburg Art Festival: she is a featured artist in that show, dates to be announced (postponed due to Hurricane Florence). In addition, Peg will be conducting several workshops and classes for watercolor enthusiasts. Go to her website for more information.

Rebecca Grow: will exhibit her Artful Boxes at the Visual Arts of Richmond’s 54th annual Craft and Design Show.

Katharine March and Virginia Deane: will be exhibiting their work at the Blackburn Inn with BSSS artist, Lincoln Perry, during the months of November and December.

 Sue Rosen: will be having a solo show in Harrisonburg at the Wilson Downtown Gallery located at 83 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg. The show will hang during the months of October and November. The gallery is open Monday through Fri-day from 9am-5pm. There are receptions each First Friday from 5 to 8pm.

Katharine March: will be participating in the Nelson Gallery’s outdoor painting event, Paint Lexington. Work produced during the event will be shown at the Nelson Gallery through October.

She, along with Debra Sheffer will be showing work at the Kendal Retirement Community in Lexington. The show will hang through December.

Maribeth Nolde: will have a photography show/installation entitled ―Wild, featuring photographs of the James River and areas surrounding it, at Citizen, a restaurant at 1203 E. Main St., Richmond for the months of December, 2018 and January 2019. The opening will be November 29 from 5-7 pm.

Astrid Tuttle, Deborah Baird, Debra Sheffer, June Jordan, Katherine March, Margaret Sheridan, Maribeth Nolde, Michele Fletcher, Steve Kasdan, Sylvia Gibbs, Wendy Lam, and Sue Rosen: will be participating in a group show at the Ox Eye Vineyard gallery, representing CoArt. The title of the show is Augusta County Lines, featuring town and country imagery. The show will open on Sunday, November the 18th with an opening reception from 4- 5 pm, and will run through December.
